You know, I like to believe that religions started as a good thing. As something to help others. To introduce some order in lawless times. But I could also be mistaken. It could very well be product of malicious minds wanting control over weaker minds. But let's consider the fact that religions were started as something good. Even then, corruption happens and everything that was meant to be good, gets twisted into being bad, but people still think it's good because the core of the product is hidden. It's like you buying a product in a store, where you look at the labels and everything looks pretty good and appealing but when you ask someone that can read the very, very, very small letters on that label to read it out loud for you and you realize it's nothing but a piece of shit product created to fool people who can't read the very small letters and those who will never bother looking at them because the labels were just too appealing. So corruption is a thing, and it exists in us human beings. There's no God, no Satan, no angels, no demons... There is only us, human beings with complex capability to think and have emotions. And there are those who take advantage of the ones who can't bother, just like reading the small letters on a flasks label, to look for answers and to seek the truth. There's those who always want the easy way. And that way is to simply believe that there is something greater than us, that created us and wants us to live under its rules and image.
But we gotta think, why is there so many of us... Who can't be more inquisitive? Why do people believe they see ghosts, or that they see things moving? When there is so much explained nowadays. I believe it's because society made us this way. Reality is the church has always had its hand in everything through time. And Wether we want it or not, those of us who choose to question things that happen, come from families that we did not choose and many of these families for whatever reason believe in these things without questioning it. Many times because it's a family thing or because it's tradition or simply because it looks good because all the neighbours do it too.
So, religion is nothing but a human product. It's simply a business. It's no greater than Starbucks. They make coffee, marketers advertise it in a very appealing manner so that people want to have it on a regular basis and hopefully become regulars and then they have their places to sell their products and where people can gather to have the product they're selling. Sounds mildly familiar, doesn't it? Now, obviously... just like in businesses when something appears and starts to get successful, there will be others who want part of it... Same thing with religions, that's why there's a shit ton of religions and i'm not even talking about those created just for the heck of it. So with that said... should we really still be blinded by words of hope and idiocy, or should we realize that our species is about 200.000 years old and focus more on ourselves rather than some figures in the sky or wherever they believe these things are, blindly believing that everything happening around you is the doing of these figures rather than looking for answers and solutions, wether they're easy or hard to hopefully create a world based upon truth and knowledge and let writers of novels and everything else, video games, art, movies, music, etc, entertain our minds off reality? I think we should, but that's me... I've been considered insane a couple of times so maybe i'm just spitting gibberish.
